On New Year’s Eve of 2001 in a quaint lakeside café in Queen’s Town New Zealand, Xavi’s now-husband, then-boyfriend asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. As soon as she grasped what he was proposing, she said yes and spent the next six months designing, planning, and strategizing every detail of her wedding. She often jokes that her wedding was not a wedding, but rather, her very own princess party (with butterflies and all). On July 13, 2002, her wedding was not only one of the most beautiful days of their lives together; but also the launching point for her career, aspirations and passion. Many people thought she was making a big mistake because after her wedding she didn’t return to medical school, rather took her new found passion, creativity, love, joy, organizational skills and a gift for working with people and started her very own wedding company.

What began with a few weddings and a staff of two has now quickly becoming one of the Southern California’s most sought-after fine floral design and event coordination companies. We have created intimate weddings and extravagant upscale affairs for a long list of clients, including some of Hollywood’s A-listers. In just 9 years, we are proud to have designed at nearly every venue in Southern California and among those, we are preferred vendors with some of the finest reception sites. Petals By Xavi’s unique style has gained notoriety throughout various media including The Knot, Better Homes and Gardens Wedding Flowers edition, The Hollywood Reporter, Southern California Brides, LA Brides, Wedding Channel’s Wedding Bells, The Bride and Bloom and Ceremony Magazine. Disney’s The Ice Princess and The Tyra Bank’s Show has also asked us to be a part of their event. Her team of coordinators have been responsible for meticulously planned weddings and flawlessly orchestrated events. We are known for our commitment to exceed our clients’ expectations.
